Paleo Cinnamon Fried Apples

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 cups chopped apples
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup, grade a
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Heat medium sized frying pan to a medium low heat and melt coconut oil. Add apples and coat them in melted coconut oil.
  • Pour in water and sprinkle with salt, cover and let apples simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, until soft.
  • Once apples are soft uncover and add in vanilla extract, maple syrup, and cinnamon, Mix well until apples are coated. Cover and reduce heat to a low simmer for another 3 minutes.
  • Serve warm!
